St. Louis, MO (May 2019) — The Wallner Home Selling Team recently held a raffle to benefit charity. The real estate team raised $5,000 dollars for Angels’ Arms, a local nonprofit organization that supports foster children right here in St. Louis. The Wallner raffle was for front-row seats to the recent St. Louis Blues hockey game, in which two lucky winners sat in the front row for the May 15th playoff game against the Sharks. The tickets were all-inclusive, meaning the winners were treated to early entry to the game, free food, and free drinks. Raffle tickets were sold for $25 a piece or 5 for $100.
The Wallner Home Selling Team holds charity and responsibility in high regard. They supported this recent initiative and continue to give back to those in need. May is National Foster Care Awareness month, so co-owner Jen Wallner from the Wallner Team found an opportunity to combine two specialties of St. Louis: Blues hockey and giving back. All proceeds from the raffle went to the Angels’ Arms charity.
Angels’ Arms is a charity that provides assistance to foster children by helping them find and stay in loving homes with new families. The charity, which started in 2000, has helped over 500 children find new homes. Unlike some organizations, one of Angels’ Arms’ main goals is to keep siblings together during the foster process and to strengthen family bonds—children who have never known the genuine love and care of parents and siblings are taught how to be a part of a functional family. This comprehensive process involves teaching children how to do chores, helping them with their schoolwork, and including them in family meals and functions. Angels’ Arms also provides clothing, school supplies, sports equipment, and music lessons to children who need them. Outside of the home, Angels’ Arms provides the children with emotional support and other useful resources. They partner with community supporters and other non-profit organizations. Inigo Calderon has called on local football chiefs to join him in “trying to do my part” to grow the game in Hong Kong. The Spaniard’s easy-on-the-eye Kitchee team delivered “probably the most complete” performance of his 15-month reign to embarrass Lee Man 5-1 on Monday, leaving him to conclude that it was a good time to say his piece because “we won and I’m not making excuses”. Unhappy with kick-off times and routinely poor playing surfaces, head coach Calderon said a 6.30pm start had aided...
Gianni Infantino’s campaign for re-election as Fifa president is set to move this week to Japan and a meeting scheduled for Wednesday with the Asian Football Confederation. This comes after Infantino apologised last week in Zurich, Switzerland, to Fifa’s 37-member ruling council – which he chairs – for “mistakes” he made in assembling a now-scrapped US$4.2 billion sell-off plan for the World Cup. The council is the main decision-making body at Fifa with a global spread of officials. The planned...

Long-suffering Philadelphia 76ers fans haven’t celebrated an NBA title in 43 years, but with newly arrived LeBron James headlining a star-studded team, they are daring to dream. “We never had a team like this,” enthuses Kairee Harvey, a 32-year-old police officer and diehard LeBron supporter. “I still can’t believe it,” the resident of neighbouring New Jersey said of the arrival of James in July. “I feel like I’m in a dream a little bit.” Suddenly, Harvey said, “I think that this will be our...

David Eustace enjoyed a landmark day in his Hong Kong training career when Light Years Charm rattled home to win the Group Two Sha Tin Trophy (1,600m) on Monday as part of a brilliant treble for the in-form stable. It was a day to remember for the 35-year-old, who launched into second in the trainers’ premiership, leaping above Manfred Man Ka-leung by virtue of seconds, and he was certainly keen to savour the moment. “The team are doing a great job. I thought we had a nice team of horses for the...
