The Global Latex Market is expected to grow at a high CAGR in the forecast period. Latex is basically a dispersion or an emulsion of polymer micro particles in an aqueous solution. Latex is generally found in nature as a milky fluid. However, synthetic latexes can be created by polymerizing a monomer that has been emulsified with surfactants. As a milky fluid, it is found in approximately 10% of all flowering plants. Latex is used to produce a wide range of products that include latex gloves and latex clothing, among others.

Products such as surgical and medical items, industrial and household items, balloons, and boots, among others, account for more than half of the total natural latex consumption in the U.S. The adhesive industry is one of the key users of natural latex in several products, which among others include labels, shoes, pressure sensitive tapes, and envelopes. Further, natural latex that has a high solids content is used to manufacture low-temperature metals, wax, cement, and molds for casting plaster. Most of the synthetic rubber available in the market today is made from two materials, butadiene and styrene and both are obtained from petroleum.

Tires account for more than 65% of the total consumption of natural and synthetic rubber. China is the largest exporter of rubber tires, accounting for around 20% of the global exports of rubber tires, while Germany accounted for approximately 7% of the global exports.

Philippines’ Alexandra Eala recovers to move into Pan Pacific Open quarter-finals in Tokyo

Philippine sensation Alexandra Eala came from behind to beat Talia Gibson 4-6, 6-2, 6-0 in Tokyo on Wednesday and said “it took a lot to turn that match around”. But Eala dug in and evened the match before hitting top gear in a dominating third set. The 21-year-old said the turnaround had been “a gradual increase of level”. “Maybe...

Kimi Antonelli set to end Italy’s puzzlingly long 73-year wait for Formula 1 champion

Kimi Antonelli is on the verge of becoming Formula 1’s youngest-ever champion, and the first Italian to win the title since Alberto Ascari in 1953. For a country full of passionate racing fans, the 73-year wait for an Italian champ is puzzling. Over decades without a title contender to cheer, Italy’s legions of passionate “tifosi” fans have worn red to support Ferrari as a team, rather than individual Italian drivers. Now the 20-year-old Antonelli, reportedly rejected by Ferrari as a child...

The pounding of running shoes echoes through a Singapore shopping centre as fitness enthusiasts desperate to exercise take refuge from choking haze.
